His career reflects a consistent ability to transform challenges into opportunities, rebuild underperforming organizations, develop innovative financial structures, and create sustainable value.
Today, as CEO and Founder of Money Minders, Alaa brings together decades of executive experience to help companies strengthen liquidity, optimize capital structures, and secure financing strategies aligned with their long-term ambitions.
Transitioning Into Corporate Finance and Leasing
Driven by a growing interest in financial strategy and investment, Alaa transitioned into corporate finance and leasing a move that would define the next stage of his career.
At Corplease, backed by CIB, DEG, and UBAF Bank, he served as Senior Leasing Officer within the Business Development Department. He developed the leasing portfolio through new client acquisition, conducted financial and credit analysis, structured financing solutions, and coordinated with credit, legal, and operations teams to execute transactions.
He then joined A.T Lease as Manager of Leasing Relationship Management. There, he managed the marketing team, developed new deal structures, and handled a significant share of the company’s client portfolio.
Alaa also played an effective role in A.T Lease’s EGP 576 million securitization transaction, which received The Banker’s prestigious ‘Deal of the Year’ award.
His achievements during this period included becoming the company’s Top Performer in 2010–2011 and receiving the Highest Target Achiever award for the 2011 financial year.
Leading Landmark Transactions and Major Portfolios
In 2012, Alaa joined Al Ahli Leasing Company, a subsidiary of the National Bank of Egypt, as Deputy General Manager.
He became responsible for corporate transactions, club deals, syndications, and the management of a healthy portfolio valued at approximately EGP 4 billion.
During his tenure, he originated and executed landmark transactions across several industries, strengthened risk-management practices, improved operational productivity, and developed relationships that supported the company’s continued expansion.
His leadership contributed to a strategic turnaround that positioned the company as Egypt’s second most profitable leasing firm within only three years of operation.
This period strengthened his reputation as a leader capable of combining financial discipline, market insight, and operational execution.
A Career-Defining Business Transformation
One of the most significant chapters in Alaa’s career began in 2018, when he became the FRA-approved Executive CEO and Managing Director of Al Ahli Kuwait–Egypt Leasing Company.
He led a complete transformation of the company, beginning with a comprehensive management restructuring and the development of a stronger operating model.
Under his leadership, the company resolved non-performing loans, automated its operations, expanded into new business segments, attracted creditworthy clients, and rebuilt the portfolio on healthier and more profitable foundations.

Beyond the financial results, Alaa focused on building a strong leadership team. He introduced structured recruitment, coaching, performance evaluation, employee development, and team-building initiatives designed to create a more collaborative and accountable organization.
This transformation demonstrated his ability to rebuild businesses from within—aligning people, processes, technology, and capital around a clear strategic direction.
Expanding Into Investment Leadership
Following his executive leadership in leasing, Alaa joined GV Investments as Head of Investment.
In this position, he developed investment policies and evaluation criteria, conducted due diligence on prospective projects, built financial models, analyzed company accounts and projections, and monitored investment portfolio performance.
He also prepared and presented financial reports to management, board members, and investors while leading the investment team and identifying new market opportunities. This role broadened his perspective beyond financing individual transactions and strengthened his ability to assess investments within a wider strategic and portfolio-management framework
Founding Money Minders With a Clear Purpose
After more than two decades of leadership across commercial development, leasing, investment, and corporate finance, Alaa founded Money Minders an independent financial advisory and capital structuring firm.
Money Minders was established around a clear objective: to help businesses make stronger financial decisions, improve liquidity, build resilient capital structures, and secure sustainable funding for growth.
Rather than offering standardized recommendations, the firm begins by understanding each client’s operations, financial position, business cycle, challenges, and future ambitions.
This allows Money Minders to design tailored solutions that address immediate funding requirements while supporting long-term financial stability.
- Working capital optimization
- Asset and leasing finance
- Long-term and short-term financing
- Factoring and receivables financing
- Legal and regulatory advisory
- Financial restructuring and optimization
- Feasibility and market studies
- Mortgage and property financing
Money Minders also works closely with banks, investors, and financial institutions to structure and execute financing solutions.
For Alaa, founding Money Minders was more than launching a financial advisory business. It represented an opportunity to apply decades of executive experience to help corporations and entrepreneurs navigate complex financial decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
Connecting Strategy With Execution
Alaa’s leadership philosophy is built around a simple principle: strategy creates value only when it can be executed effectively.
Throughout his career, he has combined analytical thinking with practical business understanding. He recognizes that companies do not operate through financial models alone; they operate through people, market realities, relationships, and disciplined decisions.
This perspective enables him to develop solutions that are financially sound, commercially relevant, and operationally achievable.
Instead of focusing exclusively on short-term results, he prioritizes structures that improve resilience, strengthen balance sheets, and support sustainable expansion.
Leadership Grounded in Integrity and Accountability
For Alaa, leadership extends beyond achieving financial targets.
He believes that integrity, accountability, resilience, and adaptability form the foundation of lasting success. Markets change, industries evolve, and unexpected challenges arise—but leaders who remain committed to their values while embracing innovation are better positioned to move forward.
He also believes that success should not be measured by revenue and profitability alone. It should be reflected in the trust earned from clients, the development of employees, and the positive transformation created within organizations.
This philosophy has shaped his leadership style, professional relationships, and every business he has helped develop.
Building Knowledge Through Continuous Development
Alongside his executive experience, Alaa has continued to strengthen his professional knowledge through specialized qualifications.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Commerce, English Section, from Cairo University.
His professional credentials include:
- Fintech and Financial Inclusion certification
- Banking Credit and Risk Management Professional Certificate from the American University in Cairo
- International Risk Diploma from the American Academy of Financial Management
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification
- Professional Diploma in Sales Management from the American University in Cairo
This combination of commercial experience, financial expertise, technical knowledge, and executive leadership has enabled him to approach business challenges from multiple perspectives.
Looking Ahead With Regional Ambition
Alaa’s vision for the future is centered on expanding the reach and impact of Money Minders across Egypt and the wider region.
His ambition is to develop the firm into a trusted name in strategic financial advisory and capital structuring—recognized for innovation, disciplined execution, strong partnerships, and solutions that generate measurable value.
He remains committed to helping organizations become financially stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for sustainable growth. His vision extends beyond individual transactions or client engagements. It is about contributing to a stronger business ecosystem through smarter capital decisions and more responsible financial leadership.
A Message to Future Leaders
Alaa’s professional journey demonstrates that successful leadership is not defined by following established paths. It is defined by understanding where greater value can be created and having the courage to build a better way forward.
His message to emerging leaders is clear:
“Build your career on integrity, continuous learning, and disciplined execution. Understand the real needs of businesses and the people behind them. Success is not only about achieving results it is about creating value that continues long after the work is complete.”
