The competition brought together 47 contestants from around the world, making it one of the most competitive editions in the pageant’s history. Samuel advanced through the competition before emerging as the overall winner. He also received the Best in Swimwear award during the event.
The victory carried historic significance.
Samuel became the first Nigerian and the first African to win the Mister International title since the competition began. His achievement therefore represented more than an individual pageant success. It became a milestone for Nigerian and African representation on an international platform.
