Her daughter Sama was born, and in that same year, Sama Events was established.
The decision to name the company after her daughter was deeply personal. From the beginning, motherhood and entrepreneurship became two journeys developing side by side. There was no perfect business roadmap waiting for her. Instead, Dareen learned by doing.
She learned through challenging projects, demanding clients, unexpected problems, long hours, creative decisions, and moments when she had to find solutions quickly.
Building an events company requires much more than creativity. It requires organization, patience, negotiation, leadership, financial awareness, communication, and the ability to remain calm when circumstances change.
Her interior architecture background gave her a strong creative foundation, but the events industry taught her how to transform that creativity into experiences that work on every level.

This led to the creation of the Event Mastery Diploma at the Lebanese American University Academy of Continuing Education. The program has progressed into an accredited learning initiative aligned with IPMA standards, with its first cohort reaching graduation.
For Dareen, this represents more than another professional achievement. It reflects a change in how she views success.
The knowledge gained through years of real world experience can now become knowledge that helps prepare future event professionals.

Teaching has introduced Dareen to a completely different side of the events industry.
