Anna Kameneva Builds an Inspiring World Through Film and Music

Some creative careers begin with one clear ambition. Anna Kameneva has built hers by allowing different interests to meet.

Known musically as Anna Kameneva is a songwriter, singer, film director, producer and entrepreneur whose work now moves between cinema, music, travel and storytelling. She is a partner at A and K Production and co creator of Women and Roads, an international documentary project built around women, journeys and personal transformation.

Her story becomes more interesting when looking beyond those titles. Before documentaries and songs became a major part of her public identity, Kameneva spent many years building businesses. She later returned seriously to music after a long period of silence and began transforming travel experiences into films.

Today, the UAE has become an important part of that evolving journey.

Anna Kameneva Built Success Before Entering Her Creative Chapter

Kameneva did not begin her professional journey entirely inside entertainment.

Her background includes around two decades in the St Petersburg real estate market. She worked across investment, management and luxury property while also spending about ten years running a glossy publication focused on real estate, finance and luxury lifestyle.

Her business activity included a luxury real estate agency that operated for years under the Engel and Volkers franchise before continuing under the Beyond brand. The company later expanded its presence to Dubai.

Those years may appear distant from filmmaking or songwriting, but they gave Kameneva experience in leadership, communication and understanding people.

Creative work also requires those skills.

A director must earn trust from people appearing in front of a camera. A producer needs to manage teams and difficult situations. A songwriter has to recognise emotions that listeners understand even when their lives are completely different.

Music Returned After Years Of Silence

Music had remained part of Kameneva’s life, but for years she did not fully share it with an audience.

She has described writing songs privately and then experiencing a period of around ten years when the music stopped coming in the same way. When inspiration returned, she made a different decision.

She chose to release it.

That decision created Anna Kam, her identity as a recording artist. Her songs explore relationships, love, separation, confidence and the emotional experiences that often shape women’s lives.

More importantly, returning to music after such a long break required accepting the vulnerability that comes with being heard.

It is one thing to create something privately. Releasing it means allowing strangers to judge something personal.

For Kameneva, that return eventually became closely connected with her filmmaking because she began writing original music and soundtracks for documentary projects as well.

Women And Roads Changed The Scale Of Her Storytelling

One of the biggest developments in Kameneva’s creative journey came through her partnership with writer and director Kristina Kretova.

Together, they formed A and K Production and developed Women and Roads. The Way to Yourself.

The concept uses travel as more than scenery. Women meet, drive through different locations and share stories about identity, relationships, decisions, challenges and finding their own direction.

Their first documentary was filmed around Lake Baikal. What began as one film gradually developed into an international series.

Later chapters took the filmmakers to Mallorca, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and the UAE, allowing women from different cultures to become part of the same wider conversation.

Kameneva brings several roles to the project. Alongside directing and producing, she composes music and writes songs for the films, helping create a connection between what viewers see and what they feel.

International Recognition Gave The Films A Wider Audience

Women and Roads gradually moved beyond its original community and began reaching international film audiences.

The Mallorca edition received recognition at the Marbella International Film Festival and was later named Best Cultural Documentary at a New York festival. Other chapters have appeared in international festival selections, including the Uzbekistan film.

The Azerbaijan edition continued the project’s interest in female strength and connection while exploring the country through modern women, history and cultural identity.

For Kameneva and Kretova, awards are only one part of the progress.

Their documentaries have also reached cinemas, online platforms and television, allowing personal stories originally captured on the road to travel much further than the locations where they were filmed.

That growth shows how a simple creative idea can expand when the central theme remains relatable.

People may come from different countries, but questions about purpose, courage, belonging and change often feel surprisingly similar.

The UAE Inspired A New Creative Direction

The UAE has become increasingly important in Kameneva’s recent work.

Women and Roads expanded into an Emirates focused project examining women, culture and identity in the country. A teaser was presented in Dubai as the filmmakers continued gathering voices and perspectives for the project.

Music also became part of Kameneva’s connection with the Emirates.

In November 2025, she released Emirates Vibe, an original song that incorporates the names of the seven emirates into a musical celebration of the UAE.

The song was presented at Dubai Opera around the UAE National Day period, making the release particularly personal. Kameneva created the track as a celebration of the country’s energy, unity and development rather than simply writing another pop song.

It reflected the direction her creative career had taken. Travel was becoming music, people were becoming documentaries and locations were becoming stories.

Her Music Journey Continues Beyond Emirates Vibe

Kameneva has continued releasing music rather than treating Emirates Vibe as a single project.

In 2026, she released Marbella, followed by a remix version. The song added another location inspired chapter to a catalogue increasingly connected with travel and atmosphere.

This combination of music and filmmaking gives her creative identity an unusual structure.

A destination can inspire a documentary. A conversation can influence a film. A film can create a soundtrack. A journey can later become a song.

Instead of keeping each creative activity inside a separate box, Kameneva allows them to influence one another.

Anna Kameneva Keeps Choosing Reinvention Over One Identity

Anna Kameneva’s journey offers a useful reminder about careers that refuse to remain predictable.

She could have stayed entirely within luxury real estate and business. She could have kept her music private. She could have treated filmmaking as a side project.

Instead, each new chapter became another opportunity to begin again.

Her experience in business gave her the foundation to produce ambitious projects. Music allowed her to express emotions differently. Travel introduced new people and cultures. Documentary filmmaking gave those stories a platform.

Today, Kameneva is still moving between these worlds rather than choosing only one.

That may be the most important part of her journey.

Success does not always require becoming one thing and staying there forever. Sometimes the more meaningful path comes from recognising when another part of yourself deserves space.

For Anna Kameneva, music, cinema, travel and entrepreneurship have gradually become parts of the same story.

And that story is still travelling.
